I have been doing a lot of thinking lately. Mainly about the newcomers arriving in New Bark Town.

After the massive snowstorm that came in before the holidays, I think we can all agree there has to be a better contingency plan to get new arrivals the proper help they need to get by. Maybe there is a way we can get information out to them better. I'm open to suggestion but here is what I'm proposing:

A basic survival guide. We already have a guide outlining the wildlife here but nothing about basic wilderness survival. Under these conditions, having a sleeping bag is not enough to get by through the night.

To be honest, besides learning it from others, I do not know the first thing about surviving the outdoors. But I know there are others out there who do. If we all pool our resources together we can make something that will save any newcomer a whole lot of grief.

Now I'm willing to compile the information together. All I need is a little help with the legwork here so to speak. Here are a few items to give everyone an idea:

1.) Weathering your campsite
2.) Building a fire from scratch
3.) Geo-navigation
4.) Notable Wild Pokémon Dangers
5.) Storm/Severe Weather Preparation

Now I may have unintentionally left some subjects out. But if this is something you're interested in then send me a message.

I would like to see a copy of that guide when you have a chance. There might be a few things I have down that could be repetitive. Some are suggesting a section about roster building.

Never knew we had a Pokémon rental service. Good to know. It doesn't help much with the three-day travel to Cherrygrove City but at least there is something to fall on once they get there.

Well, the guide's right here. It actually includes some Pokémon recommendations, if that makes a difference.

As for the rental service, it's pretty low-key right now. Doesn't have as much publicity as it could, but I've got about fifty Pokémon. Gotta keep them busy somehow.

It does. Saves me the time from outlining subjects that have already been written. I can cross-reference these points to your guide.

I'm not a publicist but a service for others to rent Pokémon seems useful. It wouldn't hurt getting the word out.

Hey, sounds like a win-win situation. Maybe we could set up some kind of guide directory over the 'Gears. That way we can collect info from others.

I figure the guides we start off with are way too basic, anyway. They only tell you so much.

And I might as well clue people into the service. Can't hurt to drum up more business, anyway.

Every item plus the Trainer's Guide you receive from the house in New Bark reflects how assumptive the locals from the region can be. It wouldn't hurt to have a reference that outlines the bare fundamentals.

Sounds like a plan though. All I have to do is to put everything together.

They probably don't know how to handle otherworlders, honestly. The idea of other worlds existing at all probably confuses them. And it's even tougher for the people who used to be animals, aliens, and robots. It's not like they get a "how to be a human" guide.

Come to think of it, that might not be a bad idea.

A lot of area to cover don't you think? You would be better off answering more of the frequent questions about being human.
